Their bellies are all furry which is really soft. It also very easy to stroke a hedgehog, if they are comfortable their spines will be down and you can stroke them which feels quite soft I suppose? If they are feeling frightened or angry etc their spines will go up and it can be impossible to touch them - so prickly in this case.
So in answer to your question, they have spines on their backs but they are soft if they are happy and prickly if they are angry/upset. And their bellies are really soft.

I can’t see a location on your page but I live in the UK and got it from a super cheap shop called Wilkinsons. I actually went in there looking for something else and I saw the bath it was only £1.50 so super cheap. They also came in pink and purple but I thought it would be easier to photograph the clear one. (I know my photos aren’t fab but I give it a good go)
Thanks for your question I hope this helps!
Thank you for all the lovely messages! I’m not ignoring them, I just hoard them like a Dragon.

Don’t worry, my Loki is half the size of his sisters. The only problem is if they look underweight, you can always try to increase portion sizes if you’re worried. Like people Hedgehogs come in different sizes, and if they are healthy and happy try not to worry! After about a year, Oliver will probably be as big as he’s going to get.
Every time I see a Hedgehog item I’m buying it, the giveaway will probably be in a couple of months (or maybe just one) so I can get lots of Hedgehog stuff together. I was contemplating what to put in it, but Hedgehog stuff seems the best option. I already have a few items including the cutest Hedgehog pencilcase!
I’m sorry for the lack of activity I’ve been insanely busy since I have just finished university and I am sorting out my life!
